I trained as a mental health first aider through work 2 years ago and I can honestly say it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done. It’s given me a great insight into mental health coping techniques and how to start conversations with people that need advise/help.
I do need to heed my own training though and recognise when I need to take a step back.
